090

attaining pansophy
in certain lights, they'll pick at what they can see
but the sun never sets on the sunset channel
when violins are paper thin
and mouths pursed just so
to let the smoke get in
when the day shuts down and the night spreads open
a serry of penny pinchers
make the girls feel pretty
and then like dirt
just like their shirt teeth
that when you saw them at first
in certain lights
looked gleaming white
and then in some others
reveal to show, their true colours
spots of tar and
red wine stained
but on the sunset channel
it never rains
the sun never sets on the sunset channel
the sun's never warm on the sunset channel
red velvet drapes and red velvet waffles
that ought to make a cold bitch feel something  warm
i feel fine/nothing
