Don't hold back helpful information.
It won't be any use to anyone when it's too late.

She was suspicious,
So, she looked at the author, and..
well, it kind of lost its credibility..
But then..
Everything that is written is someone's opinion,
so,
Who's/whose [?] to validate it?
Who can say it's right or wrong or no good?
There are people, yes,
Sometimes though, it's a popularity contest,
Actually, mostly always.
If enough people read it and believe it, then it is true..
?
but there is something to it, that makes sense..
quietly celebrating what she thinks,
PUKE
but on most days we don't care.

last week we sat outside there, but now its covered in snow.

Do what makes YOU happy & disappoint THE REST.

love hard, or go home.

I told her that I was a flop with chicks
I've been this way since 1956
She looked at my palm
and she made a magic sign,
She said "What you need is ..
Love Potion Number Nineee"

She bent down and turned around and gave me a wink
She said "I'm gonna make it up right here in the sink"
It smelled like turpentine, it looked like Indian ink
I held my nose, I closed my eyes,
I took a drink...

I didn't know if it was day or night
I started kissin' everything in sight
But when I kissed a cop down on Thirty-Fourth and Vine
He broke my little bottle of ...
Love Potion Number Nineeeee

You know how, nothing is shocking, we're desensitized blah blah
because everything moves so quickly is why things that happen in the past -
..and I mean relative past, whatever seems far to the person, could be one minute ago -
things aren't such a big deal
and, a lot sooner
so it makes for a lot of disconnect
if there is no continuity in memory,
living in the moment as we are so urged to do all the time
has a false happiness thing attached to it
and it's that everything is so instant
we're we meant to be this instant?
i think it takes a lot longer time for a human to function than a computer let's say,
but that too makes us feel inadequate or unsuccessful
but it's good because there is always some work and improvements to do..

I crashed again last night,
It's a medicated nation, we should be more patient..
I'm down...
I'm gettin' off the computer..
I'm gonna DO something

cheers,

some different kind of feeling you get from dark rum and ginger beer
makes you foggy, not so clear,
i guess it's why they call it a
Dark and Stormy
maybe they should call it,
kick-to-face

"you are the window to my world"
...
"really? it's blurry"
..
"except when you're drunk"
...oh

If you're going to pick me apart, please don't tell me "There was a spelling mistakes"..

I won't take you seriously.

cheers,

To commemorate 10 posts, please welcome contributor at large, MELISSA FOX.

act one, scene v Melissa's Head
in her head, Melissa conjures a silent soliloquy, accompanied by a tasteful round of applause, as she saunters onto a spotlit stage, Chablis in hand, squinting into the darkness at her feet.

"Writing & Wine: Brother's from Other Mothers"
Good writing is like fine wine.

Is it robust and round, sensual with heavy notes?

Is it floral and light, delicate, dancing on your tongue?

Or is it cheap and sharp, something in a pretty bottle masquerading as something it's not, flaunting it's screw cap? Something that will do in a pinch?

We all need to just get drunk once in awhile, but on the regular?
Wouldn't you rather sit down with a glass of Italian Chianti that's had some time to breathe, than to chug an Arbor Mist and pass out in front of the television, inevitably forgetting what happened between the moment you set cup to lips and the moment your forced your eyes open to a sugary sweet headache blanching your vision and your throat crying out for water because it's just so stale and dry... a product of it's environment, perhaps?

*Note: this may or may not have been inspired by someones bad writing. You know, the kind that leaves you with an Arbor Mist-kind of headache. #justsaying

some marketing campaigns are just too well placed to be a coincidence, or go unnoticed.
this one deserved a photo.
Virgin Mobile has plastered an 6'x8' that reads:
WHO'S HEADING TO DUMPSVILLE?
in rude capital letters, and red and white.
this, inside the hallway, on your way to the bathroom.
How else can you answer then?
Who's heading to dumpsville?
Well, I guess,
me...

Maybe I'll bump into Galliano ...
