Sometimes I do drugs
Sometimes I live vicariously through others' experiences:
"we both ate
acid
she threw up
in the front seat
next to me
cause she ate something
bad
i wanted to help her
but she was a
robotic dinosaur
she was bent over
cause she was getting sick
and her back was full of
spikes
i wanted to help her
but she was spiky
how could I help a spiky robotic dinosaur?!
now that I think about it, I
feel kind of
bad have you ever tried 'shrooms?
No. I'm allergic to mushrooms.."
I bet you miss those good old days
Those days when everyone was your friend
It's harder now
Isnt it?
To get what you want
Everything was on speed dial
Now your list is dwindling
I bet you miss New York
where
Everything was shiny
And dreamy
And steamy
And new
Now back home your dreams
Are
Covered in gum scum and street scum
And subway echoes
And runoff
You were a somebody
You still are a somebody
But no body knows
No
Body
Knows
But I do
this summer-like weather had me thinking about the summer that just ended or seemed like it had,
rainy, hot, and never bad,
i thought to write something that would sum it all up
but i thought to make this little video instead.
and what else more to say?
well, i guess of what we did,
we danced a lot
because we heard that somewhere
sitting at a desk all day
makes you fat
so now we are fit, except we probably got our calories back in
burgers and beers;
summmmer, summerrrrr,
who could make it or break it?
good friends that never fake it,
the ones that make your memories and forget them with you
[but thats what photos are for]
we smell sweat and wet streets and wine sitting out all night and opened
tastes now like vinegar
we heard good tunes and bad tunes,
we thought of million dollar ideas
turned champagne rings into jewelry things
couch surfed and
balcony hopped
and smoked a lot
wore open toe shoes, even on the cold nights
slept in the same clothes for three days straight
borrowed toothbrushes and used too much toiletpaper
sat on park benches
and pre-drank before the pre-drink
wine bottles in the car
don't worry, its parked
never once paid for a parking meter ticket,
well perhaps maybe once,
and sometimes we ended up paying double
but some young punks will tell you its fun getting into trouble,
we acted like rockstars, and pointed out bad outfits,
gave each other bad hair cuts and called it 'hipster-fantastic'
im sure there were a lot of other things we did and coulda done,
but we'll leave those for next year...
summers through, BRO
and i can say this with honesty:
mauve eyes
red lips
brown hair
pulled back
she wants a pillow fight
with feathers
she can wear the lace or,
she can wear the leather,
or she can wear nothing at all,
which ever what ever you think is best or better,
is good enough for her tonight,
nothing better
than
cuddle weather
sans boots, sans sweater,
and it's minus a hundred and six outside
but indoors it's gon' be hot
all night
and tight
all night
she's only happy
when you're making in rain..
This one goes out to all the complainers with first world problems.
STFU and do something.
You don't have fun because you don't know how to.
STFU and dance.
You're bored because your boring.
STFU and play.
You have lame friends cause you attract them.
STFU and meet people you don't know.
Your fat cause you eat crap.
STFU and eat a vegetable.
I bet you can't get what you want, come on baby, come on sugar,
I bet you can't get what you need, come on baby, come on sugar,
and try.
Imagine a world with
no Facebook
no cell phones
no twitter
no GPS tracking
no Bbm or whatsapp
[people from the future will read this and laugh at our menial technology,]
[people from the past will read this and say that shits whack]
Imagine the amazing real face to face conversations we could have
I can see you smile and sweat and flinch and breathe
Without distractions
Imagine
No pointless drama
Imagine how much work would get done
